Wheel alignment (also known as tracking) ensures your wheels are pointing in the right direction. When it's out, you'll notice uneven tyre wear, the steering pulling to one side, or the wheel not sitting straight when driving in a straight line.
We use Hunter precision alignment equipment to measure and adjust your wheel angles accurately. It's a quick job that can save you a fortune on premature tyre wear.
We recommend checking your alignment after hitting a pothole, having new tyres fitted, or as part of your annual service.

On a flat, straight road a car should track straight with a light grip on the wheel. A constant pull usually means the geometry is out.

What's the difference between tracking and four-wheel alignment?
Tracking sets the front wheels parallel; four-wheel alignment measures and adjusts the geometry of all four corners against the manufacturer's figures. We'll recommend whichever your car and symptoms actually call for.
How often should alignment be checked?
There's no fixed interval — check it after any hard kerb or pothole strike, when fitting new tyres, after suspension work, or whenever the car pulls or the wheel sits off-centre.
Does misalignment cost me fuel?
Yes, a little — a misaligned wheel is dragged rather than rolled, which adds rolling resistance. The bigger cost is tyres: misalignment can take thousands of miles off their life.
Will alignment fix a vibration?
Usually not — vibration through the wheel is typically balancing, not alignment. Alignment fixes pulling, off-centre steering and uneven wear. We'll diagnose which one you actually need rather than selling you both.
